Located in a newly-built, large, bright room, our MRI has one of the shortest tunnels on the market and one of the largest openings, greatly reducing patient stress due to fear of confined spaces and loud noises. Our state-of-the-art MRI provides the highest-quality three-dimensional images with the lowest amount of acoustic noise available through patented technology. Digital CT images can be sent over the Internet or provided on a CD for physicians or outside medical centers. CT also allows for rapid diagnosis of injuries or abnormalities to soft tissue structures such as the liver, spleen or kidneys. Our state-of-the-art CT scanner is typically used for body imaging, bones, chest, lungs, brain and arteries, without the need for highly invasive vascular procedures. LMC has the capabilities to provide the high-quality images needed for these outside groups and can digitally transfer the images via the Internet, without requiring patients to take additional time off work for travel. The Imaging Center at Lawrence Medical Center recognizes that many patients travel outside this community to see world-renowned physicians or medical specialty experts for specific healthcare needs.
